PowerSource Pro-Tip: Totals and Subtotals

Totals and subtotals can provide additional context to any PowerSource run. In order to add a total or subtotal, utilize the ‘split settings’ button on the rows, columns and filters page and toggle on the desired total. You can adjust the location of the total in the output by using the available drop down box (the two options are bottom/right or top/left).

Subtotals will provide a total of the selected options in the columns or rows while the Total includes all respondents fulfilling the overall filters.

The output below displays a data run consisting of nested splits with both the totals and subtotals turned on:

The totals circled in blue are examples of subtotals while the total circled in black is the total.
