The Grouped Answer functionality allows cross table tool users to create customized versions of existing variables by grouping response options together in custom buckets. This can be particularly useful for analysis of time, location, or even brand variables. It also allows users to quickly do top 2 box or bottom 2 box analysis on attribute or rating questions. In order to add a grouped answer to a variable, add the variable to the table set up in the rows or columns, click on the x of x selected highlight under the variable label, and select add net/grouped answer:
Use the check boxes to select which response options you would like included in your grouped answer, and assign the grouped answer a name in the label box.
Select Save. You can then subset your response list to only show your grouped answer or show all available answers.
Note: Grouped answers are only visible for the user that created them and cannot be shared between users.
